Our big focus for this blog post though, is the crochet twist. We want to bring to light the beauty in the various types of protective styles. Box braids, crochet hair, locs, cornrows, twists, knots... they're only the surface of a much deeper pond.
Every braiding client is different, making every hairdo unique and with its own challenges. I love the challenge of accommodating my clients' perfect style with their hair type and head shape.
We are passionate about learning and teaching our audience in the art of caring for curly/ kinky hair types, beginning with young ones. This does not only involve the teaching of styling the hair but also the attitude towards caring for the hair itself.
"Practice makes perfect" I have been doing almost all my own styles this year (2020) and have gotten a few requests to do hair since registering the business in the Autumn. I am more interested in curly and coily hair as it is so unique and differs from person to person - even within families! I had the chance to do a clients hair that behaved similarly to how mine did when I was younger. It was beautiful; soft but thick with glossy curls that wrapped nicely around a finger... ! (queue deep, satisfied sigh) ...continuing on... It was a pleasure to do her hair as being creative and expressing that is what I stand for and having the opportunity to...
